Prep that stands up to a holistic review

SAT / ACT

The SAT and ACT are both 3-letter names that used to be acronyms, both important parts of the college admissions process, and both terrible ways to spend a Saturday; that’s just about all they have in common, though.

Fortunately, at Inspirica Pros, we’re experts in both. So whether you need advice on which test suits you best or are ready to jump right into prep, scroll down to see how we can help.

Inspirica Pros are extraordinary. My daughters, except for lack of prior exposure to standardized testing, were and remain very different people. But each has benefited immensely from working with Kate. In fairly short order, under her disciplined yet gentle supervision, my teens have become much more confident, genuinely in command and effective at test taking. (Milestones include but are hardly limited to an admission to Stuyvesant). Kate is a first-class intellect. Her mastery of testing methods and test-taking techniques is deep and nuanced. She is incisive at identifying test-taking weaknesses and gifted at cultivating strengths to build on. Even more importantly, Kate leavens her rigorous approach with keen sensitivity to adolescent emotions and anxiety. That, perhaps above all, is the secret to Kate’s success helping kids to unlock their capabilities and impressively advance.

SAT

Our Pros and the SAT go way back. We knew this test back when it was scored out of 1600, before it was scored out of 2400, before it was scored out of 1600 again. And though some of the structure and content has shifted over the years, our ability to help you maximize your score definitely hasn’t. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

ACT

The ACT is essentially the testing equivalent of the 400-meter hurdles. If you weren’t in such a hurry, you could probably clear most of those obstacles without any problem. When you’re moving at top speed, though? It’s a lot easier to end up flat on your face.

Thankfully, our test experts come equipped with tips, tricks, and shortcuts honed through decades of experience. They’ll help you get the most out of your time and make this test feel more like a stroll than a footrace.

PSAT

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the PSAT is just a slightly shorter, moderately easier practice SAT! This test is so much more than that—it’s a slightly shorter, moderately easier practice SAT that is also used as a qualification test for National Merit Scholarships.

So if you want to put yourself in the running for a National Merit Scholarship or are just looking to use the PSAT as a springboard into SAT prep, we’re here to help.

SAT/ACT PathFinder Diagnostic

Many people mistakenly think that there’s no real difference between the SAT and the ACT, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. These two tests are actually very different, and every student is more likely to succeed on one than on the other. So how can you tell which test better fits your strengths without throwing away hours taking multiple diagnostics?

The answer is the SAT/ACT PathFinder, a proprietary testing tool designed to simulate both the ACT and the SAT in a single 3-hour session.

So we called Inspirica Pros again for the ACTs. Our son was maintaining a B average. Yet, with Loren’s help, he got a 34 on the first try and 35 on the second. Again, the scores were well above what his grades made us expect. It was probably in him all along; he just needed someone to help get it out of him.
