Ally Camhi

A Westchester, New York native, Ally began tutoring when she was in the eighth grade after her mom told all of her younger sisters’ friends that she could help them with whatever they subjects they may need. While she no longer needs to be driven to her tutoring appointments by her mom, Ally still maintains the same level of enthusiasm, patience, and dedication as when she first began.

Ally went on to graduate cum laude from Duke University, during which time she formalized her tutoring experience, working with a company to begin tutoring for the SAT (while still finding time to attend all the basketball games, of course.) Although Ally entered college thinking that she wanted to eventually become a lawyer, she found that her true passion lay in teaching others and working with them to achieve their academic goals. She enjoys the challenge of connecting with each individual student and finding the method that works best with each unique learning style. Her high energy approach has helped her students not only succeed on their exams, but also gain a level of confidence they carry with them for years to come.

Outside of working with students, Ally trains other teachers in SAT test preparation and creates curriculum for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE and SHSAT. She is also an avid sports fan (unfortunately one of her favorite teams is the Mets…) and can be found both watching and playing various sports around Manhattan.
