Biography

Ari Goldbloom-Helzner is an experienced academic support and test prep tutor with over a decade working with students from elementary school to college and beyond. He specializes in all levels of math, statistics, computer science, and data analytics, helping students grasp difficult concepts by breaking them down into more easily digestible pieces.

Ari fell in love with tutoring in middle school as a reading tutor at an elementary school for underprivileged students. While attending the prestigious Math, Science, and Computer Science Magnet Program at Montgomery Blair High School, Ari tutored his peers in math classes from Algebra to AP Calculus BC to SAT Math prep. At Brown University, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Music, Ari continued to tutor his peers in college-level math and computer science classes. After graduating magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Sigma Xi from Brown, Ari worked as a data scientist, mathematician, and statistician at a research lab at Princeton University. In his position, he was also an advisor, tutor, and teacher for Princeton undergraduates in their coursework and theses.

Ari is a passionate, empathetic, and patient tutor who makes challenging math and computer science subjects understandable and fun. Every student learns differently, so he tailors his tutoring style to fit each student’s needs and is their biggest cheerleader. He is a structured and responsive tutor who loves helping students achieve their goals.

While not tutoring, Ari performs as an actor, singer, and pianist. He has worked as a performer and music director on a number of regional professional and community productions.
