Biography
Lizzy Fiori holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with nearly 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Her professional history includes teaching within the Manhattan private school system, at the Google Children’s Center in Palo Alto, CA, and working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students at a bilingual school in Madrid, Spain. Lizzy is trained in performing individual assessments and small group admission playgroups for ages 2-5. She holds certifications in teaching ESL, Handwriting Without Tears, and is pursuing her certification in Teaching Children’s Yoga through Yoga Ed. Learning Academy.
Lizzy currently serves as a universal teacher at a reputable private nursery school in downtown NYC. In this role, Lizzy’s vast knowledge of child development, kindergarten readiness, and the private school admissions process prepares her pre-K students as she offers one-on-one attention outside of the classroom. Lizzy also focuses on early math and literacy skills, writing, playdate/interview prep, problem solving skills, and much more. She has been a beloved member of this community for several years and is highly sought-after by many families who attend the school. Lizzy hopes her experience within the private school setting will provide families with a deeper insight into preschool applications and admissions.
Whether your family is applying to nursery school/preschool/Kindergarten, is already enrolled in a program, or just looking for fun, new ways to incorporate learning into your child’s life, Lizzy is eager to share her knowledge with you and your student. Her passion for tutoring stems from the belief that all children are unique in their learning styles. Lizzy aims to bring an open mind, warm disposition, and a hands on approach to tutoring. She commits to providing a safe environment where students are able to express themselves, take risks, and share ideas. Lizzy enjoys using yoga/mindfulness, games, songs, and other creative ways to support your child’s learning journey.
